Technology, Automation & Management (TeAM), Inc. is looking for a Proposal Writer for its Corporate Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. This position requires a writer with experience in content development, compilation, editing and submission of proposals for government sponsored Information Technology, Program Management, and Information Assurance, Service Desk programs or other related technical fields. The writer will work with subject matter experts across the organization to develop specific response-focused, technically accurate content. The writer may also undertake other technical writing-related projects during periods where no proposal is being undertaken.
Location: Falls Church, VA
Responsibilities:
- Responding and developing all RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs from “cradle-to-grave”. This includes content development, coordination of information from senior management and technical team, editing, proofreading, and final production.
- Review content provided by subject matter experts to ensure content is reflective of proposal requirements.
- Research and develop technical content on an as needed basis.
- Coordinate with the Proposal Manager to ensure the preparation of proposal content by confirming art work; verifying facts; and making sure content addresses the solicitation’s requirements.
- Work within SharePoint Portal Library to upload all proposal drafts and final submissions.
- Working with our technical team to develop white papers.
- Work under general supervision of the Proposal Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, technical writing or related field preferred
- 2 to 4 years of proposal and technical writing experience.
- Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for the TRICARE Management Activity, Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Navy, Air Force, and National Institutes of Health.
- Familiar with the following ID/IQs: SeaPort-e, EAGLE, CIOSP, TEAMS, e-Fast, AFMS CATS, GSA MOBIS and GSA IT-70.
- Ability to ask probing questions of subject matter experts, express ideas clearly in writing, exercise good judgment, creativity, self-motivation, and curiosity.
- Ability to juggle projects and solve problems with a willingness to tolerate rejection of their own ideas; and strong interpersonal skills to guide authors and co-workers through their projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments; may have to work outside of a core 8-hour day.
- Good problem solver to keep proposal to the Proposal Manager’s schedule within page count while addressing requirements, ensuring compliance; while working on multiple proposals having established due dates.
- Ability to develop graphics using either Adobe Illustrator or Corel, PowerPoint, Publisher
- SharePoint experience and skills a MUST.
- Experience working with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure.
